In the eyes of many, a disability is often seen as a negative aspect of life. While it may not be enjoyable, it requires a certain skill to transform this limitation into an opportunity. Learning to control it is crucial, not only for your own benefit but also for those around you. I’d like to draw a comparison to the business world and other phases in life. What obstacles are you or your organizations facing, and what “strategies” are you implementing to turn them into opportunities?
I hope to inspire others to deal with this through my story.

Sports Center Papendal is an Olympic top sports training venue. With a wide range of accommodations. Something for every athlete. Over 500 top athletes and top talents, both Olympic and Paralympic, make daily use of all top facilities. Papendal is the home base of NOC*NSF.
Our enthusiastic guides are happy to tell you about Papendal. During the tour you will visit various highlights of Papendal such as the Olympic BMX track, the hand archery track, the outdoor athletics track and of course our multifunctional top sports hall, the Arnhemhal. Finally, of course, the place where it all happened for me, Sporthal West. The home of the Dutch paralympic table tennis team.

Would you like to do a booking at a location of your choice? This is no problem and I am happy to get to know you and the organization. I have a passion for connecting people through sports. This is something I have had the privilege of experiencing myself. Thereby in daily life top sport, or parts of it is often compared to other life stages like school and in the business world. Teamwork, persistence, keep performing, day in and day out, and once you get to the top, how do you stay there.
I absolutely cannot tell a company or students how to grow or be succesfull; after all, I am an athlete. What I can do is tell you my story of how I have done this in sports and perhaps offer inspiration to schools, students and organizations.
