For the first time, under the Singapore Smash 2024 brand, Singapore hosted a Para showcase alongside the main Singapore Smash event. This event is, after the world championships and Olympic Games, the biggest table tennis tournament, only accessible by invitation. By seamlessly integrating a Para table tennis event, the WTT sets a new standard, fostering inclusivity and accessibility within the sport. This Para showcase has brought the para table tennis to the forefront, featuring players from class 6-7 men and women singles categories, including me. I am proud of being part of this historic occasion, although I have lost the final with 1-3 from my opponent Kubra Korkut.
